Who, oh, who is Jennifer Lawrence dating now? The Hunger Games actress doesn’t seem starved for any kind of romance at all, even though rumors of romantic connections continue to persist. But according to a recent Glamour Magazine interview, Lawrence has made it clear that she has no problem being single.
Present Rumors
E! News stomped any rumors that Lawrence was dating Captain America star Chris Evans. Before that revelation, the media was rampant with stories of the two being together. The Hollywood stars went through a brief period earlier in the year when they hung out for a couple of weeks, but sources close to E! said none of the dating rumors are true.
Lawrence herself says she’s picky when it comes to her taste in guys. In the same interview with Glamour, she goes on to say that she’s “completely fulfilled,” and her not having someone romantically “is not a lack of anything in any way … I feel a spark very, very rarely. And it’s really all about the spark for me … You should see some of the people I find attractive.”
Exes and Ohs
Well we’re guessing that her former flame Nicholas Hoult definitely had the spark she was talking about. Lawrence reportedly dated her X-Men co-star for five years before their split in 2014. A 2015 Vanity Fair interview saw J. Law. speak rather openly about her past relationship with her ex-boyfriend. She drew an interesting parallel between the shooting of the X-Men films and her commitment to Hoult.
“These movies had been my life for so long and they had to come first in everything,” she said. “I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and that was my life. So, my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. Being 24 was this whole year of ‘Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?’”
This kind of gives a new perspective to wrapping a film!
After her breakup, Jennifer was linked to Coldplay frontman and former hubby of Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin. This was really never made official, but media rumors said they were on and off for close to a year.
Jennifer is one of the few Hollywood stars who manage to keep their private lives private, which is why it’s hard to confirm any past relationships that weren’t long term. A good example of this would be during her TV work on The Bill Engvall Show from 2007 to 2009. There were some whispers she had a teen crush on co-star Graham Martin, but nothing was ever confirmed. There was also no confirmation that she ever dated Silver Lining’s Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper, though those rumors also ran rampant.
Keeping it on the Low
So, what does that leave us with? A possible teen love and a maybe regarding Bradley Cooper? Lawrence’s mother denied the relationship with Cooper in an interview according to Teen.com. The Chris Martin thing is probably true, but neither have come out and blatantly confirmed this. Some people are even saying the two are still secretly together, but we seriously doubt that.
The reality is that Jennifer Lawrence has done a hell of a job keeping her dating history under the radar, especially in 2016 and the crazy surveillance and paparazzi world we now find ourselves in. She’s also avoided any rumors of affairs or questionable behavior, which speaks well to her character as a stand-up woman.
And, according to Lawrence herself, there’s nothing wrong with her being single. She loves her life and the people in it, and that’s enough to keep her happy. That’s definitively a great and healthy attitude to have!
