Judging by a few touching Instagram posts like the Father’s Day tribute she posted on June 16, it appears that her father sadly passed away. Not much is known about him other than the fact that he and Isabel were obviously very close.
Pakzad Is a Student at USC
Isabel Pakzad’s LinkedIn profile is packed with her incredible achievements. Growing up in New Jersey, the brunette beauty attended Tenafly High School from 2008 to 2012. During her time there, she was a respected athlete, being part of the soccer, track, and basketball teams. She was also a member of the school’s renowned debate team.
After graduating from high school, Isabel attended Penn State University from 2012 to 2016, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations/advertising. She also minored in international studies. While at Penn State, Pakzad worked as an intern at Davos Brands, a high-end wine and spirits company. She also worked as the university’s television producer.
She spent her spring 2015 semester at the Universitat de Barcelona, where her studies focused on liberal arts and social sciences, international business.
Over the years, Pakzad has built an impressive career in public relations. She got her start working as a public relations representative at Sony Entertainment in August 2015. She then took a three-month temporary contract as a publicity employee at CBS Films Inc. While there, her responsibilities included assisting in promotional campaigns, press junkets, and premieres, among other tasks.
The last PR job she held was in Television Publicity at PMK-BNC in 2017, where she “created client facing deliverables including media coverage reports and value assessment of television series launches and events.”
Currently, Pakzad is back in school at the USC Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism. She enrolled at USC in 2017 and is earning her degree while also attending high profile events and maintaining her relationship with James Franco.

She’s an Avid Traveler
Isabel Pakzad’s Instagram is chock-full of stunning scenic pictures from her travels. She enjoys traveling to exotic locations throughout Greece and Italy with her close friends and family.
Until recently, she and Franco preferred to keep their relationship under wraps—especially from the invasive eyes of the paparazzi. Lately, though, they’ve been flaunting their relationship for the whole world to see.

She Stuck by Franco during His Sexual Assault Allegations
Right before James Franco and Isabel Pakzad went public with their relationship, several allegations of sexual misconduct against him were brought to light. The 2018 Golden Globes awards ceremony, during which Franco won the award for Best Actor for The Disaster Artist (2017), was the catalyst for the accusations.
The theme of the night was Time’s Up in response to the rampant sexual harassment accusations that were being unveiled in Hollywood at the time. Following his win, Franco received a lot of criticism for sporting the momentous Time’s Up pin that celebrities were wearing in support of sexual assault victims.
Many people, including Franco’s The Long Shrift (2014) costar Ally Sheedy, called him out on social media for wearing the pin, implying it was hypocritical. Not long after that, four more women who’d worked with Franco in various capacities came out with their own stories of alleged sexual misconduct at the hands of the Hollywood actor.
Sheedy quickly deleted the tweets that also arbitrarily named Christian Slater, but screenshots live forever.
Around the same time Franco and Sheedy were working together, he had a questionable and sexually explicit Instagram interaction with an underage teenage girl, which he claimed was just “bad judgment” on his part.
In response to the other allegations of sexual misconduct, Franco appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year, claiming that they were “not accurate.”
In spite of all of the allegations, Pakzad and Franco’s relationship still seems to be going strong and there have been rumors that they are thinking about getting engaged. According to a Us Weekly source, the couple is getting very “serious” and they’ve openly “spoken about getting engaged.”
So far, two women—former acting students of Franco—have filed lawsuits against the 127 Hours actor for sexual misconduct and assault. While Franco and Pakzad have apparently managed to weather the storm thus far, it’s unclear how these lawsuits and allegations will impact their relationship. Only time will tell if Pakzad will continue to support Franco pending his legal troubles.
