#1. She’s an Exotic Beauty
Isabel Granada was born in Manila, Philippines to parents of mixed heritage. Her father, Humberto Granada, was a Filipino chief marine engineer. Her mother, Isabel Villarama, was a homemaker of Spanish descent, and was known as “Mommy Guapa,” as “guapa” is the Spanish word for “beautiful.” So, we can guess Isabel inherited her mother’s beautiful genes.
#2. A Woman of Many Talents
Granada has been active in the entertainment industry since her teens. She debuted with the Filipino youth talent show, That’s Entertainment as part of the Tuesday group. Around that time, she recorded an album where her songs like “Crush Na Crush Kita” (You are Really My Crush) and “Di Na Bale” (Never Mind) became popular.
Her acting career began through Filipino shows on the GMA Network and ABS-CBN. Her most famous work was in the Filipino sci-fi fantasy, Xenoa and its sequel.

The 41-year-old stunner was once married to a Geryk Genasky Aguas, a councilor in a province in Philippines. They married some time after her father’s death in 1995. They had a son, Hubert Thomas Jericho Granada Aguas, together.
According to some older reports, Granada’s mother didn’t approve of Aguas and didn’t attend their wedding. But they ironed out their differences before her son was born.
Aguas was a commercial model before he turned to running the family business and then became a councilor. When he campaigned for an administrative position, Granada followed him and appealed for votes.
The couple’s favorite hobby was playing badminton together. His family organized amateur badminton tournaments in which Granada would participate. But their marriage was short-lived and they separated with no exact date known. It’s not known whether they share custody of their son or if Hubert lives with one of them.

Granada married a second time to Arnel Cowley. He’s a businessman who owns a marketing company called Star Net, and she has a part in the business as a marketing director. The couple travel all over the world for their business and have recently been spending time in their newest branch in the U.A.E.
While Granada and her husband were in Qatar for a fan “Meet & Greet,” Granada suddenly collapsed. It turns out, she suffered a brain aneurysm and was taken to a hospital in Doha. According to some Filipino news outlets, “She suffered a “brain hemorrhage which indicates aneurysm and in turn affected her heart,” as stated by her husband. He added that Granada is still in the ICU and has yet to wake up. The latest reports say that she is in a coma in critical condition and is due for surgery today.
This isn’t the first time Granada had a medical scare. Over a decade ago, she underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor from her uterus when cysts were discovered on her ovaries. The cysts were removed in subsequent surgeries.
While more news is awaited on Granada’s condition, her co-stars and friends are requesting prayers for her quick recovery.
