Imagine being able to work out alongside Ronda Rousey, arguably one of the fittest female celebrities today. If you’re in Melbourne (or you can get there in a day), you’re in luck.
The 28-year-old UFC bantamweight champion posted an open call on her Instagram page inviting fans in Australia to come out and enjoy a workout with her. The event, which is completely free and open to the public, will be held tomorrow (November 12) at the Federation Square, a 3.2-hectare space located in the heart of Melbourne.
Despite being Down Under, Rousey’s Instagram fans quickly sounded off in the comments about what an incredible opportunity the event would be, with many of them lamenting about how they wish they could be there. It’s a great publicity stunt for Rousey, at least judging by the 105,000 likes that the post has gotten so far.
According to Federation Square’s web site, the open workout is actually a three-day event with appearances by a long list of other UFC fighters, including Antonio Silva Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and, Mark Hunt, Valerie Letourneau, Joanna, and Holly Holm.
It will definitely be interesting to see Rousey and Holm share the stage if they do, as the two are gearing up to face off against each other at UFC 193 on November 14 for the World Bantamweight Championship title. With many supporters backing Rousey, Holm is confident that she has what it takes to defeat her. “She’s great and I understand it,” Holm said about her contender in a recent interview with Yahoo Sports. “But I have every intention of winning.”
