In for a Wild Ride
The official synopsis for MHA season 3, episode 2 states, “Make for the Forest Lodge! U.A.’s Department of Heroes Begin Their School Trip!”
The rest of the synopsis reads, “Izuku and company have departed for their forest lodge, but the bus drops them off only halfway. They’re instructed to enter the Forest of Magic Beasts and use their strength to reach the destination themselves! Shigaraki had made contact with Izuku before the school trip and plans his next attack for the forest lodge. What threat does the League of Villains present to Izuku?”
This summer trip storyline is based on the school trip arc of the MHA manga, which was hugely popular. Some of the events will delve deeper into All Might’s past as a budding hero. And as usual, Shigaraki and the League of Villains will be up to no good.
Going by the synopsis, Class 1-A is on the way to Forest of Magic Beasts to hone their Quirks. But their bus is halted by some never-before-seen characters. Breathe a sigh of relief because they aren’t villains!
The new arrivals are the Pussycats, one of the four pro-hero teams that founded the Union Affairs Office. The Pussycats are veterans with over 12 years of experience and expertise in mountain rescue operations.
The quartet of senior heroes comprises of Mandalay, Pixie-bob, Ragdoll, and Tora. It is obvious that their names have a feline theme, with the first three members named after domestic cat breeds. Tora, on the other hand, is Japanese for Tiger.
In this arc, Izuku and his classmates have to develop their abilities under the supervision of the Pussycats. So, the heroic team assigns the students a field test to reach their lodge by using their abilities. But with new heroes come new villains, who rudely interrupt the fun and games.
The League of Villains attacks Izuku and the gang with the intent to kidnap one of the students. That leaves Izuku and his friends to band together and deal with the enemies while completing their task.
Don’t miss Izuku and Class 1-A’s newest adventures with the Pussycats when My Hero Academia airs on April 14. In the meantime, check out the preview below!
