Celebrities of all kinds have taken this opportunity to directly interact with their fans, allowing them to post questions in hopes of getting some authentic answers. Author Glennon Doyle Melton answered a lot of questions from her fans in her Instagram Stories. Recently, one question in particular peaked the interest of fans.
The user asked Melton, “Will I get through my divorce alive? Is there hope? Fear and pain are consuming.”

Stoically, Melton said that a person doesn’t get through separation or divorce alive. She explained, “There is this old you that dies, and then there is this new you, new life.” The wise answer actually makes a lot of sense.

She further advised that you must wait for the old you to fall away, and the new you to emerge.
Another fan asked why Melton left her husband, to which she replied, “Google It.” This prompted many to look into her past relationship with her ex-husband, especially now that she’s married to a woman.

In 2002, the best-selling author got married to former model, Craig Melton. The couple were married until 2016 and have three kids together named Chase, Tish, and Amma.

Melton revealed that she went through some serious marriage trauma a couple of years back. Apparently, Craig cheated on her, which she covered in her book, Love Warrior: A Memoir.
He confessed that he was cheating on her throughout their marriage with multiple women. But with the help of therapy and communication, the couple got back together and worked on their marriage in the hopes of getting back on track.
However, in 2016, the author posted on her blog (Momastery.com) that she and her husband were separating.
Melton explained that she had no hard feelings towards her husband. She said the reason for their separation was that she was a completely different person and didn’t fit in their marriage anymore.

In November 2016, Glennon Doyle Melton revealed that she was dating Abby Wambach, who is a retired soccer player, coach, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and FIFA World Cup champion. Many were shocked by this because she is also a woman. But love is love, no matter where it is found, something Melton learned very quickly after realizing her feelings for Wambach. She took to Instagram to write, “Life could surprise the hell out of you. Trust me- you might just wake up one morning and find yourself smackdab in the middle of heaven. I love my wife. LOVE WINS.”
The couple walked down the aisle on May 14, 2017, and they are happily married to each other. Today, they’re happier than ever and they are living proof that love knows no bounds.
