Why is it that this season of Game of Thrones has been the most brutal one of all? We don’t know how gruesome it may get in the upcoming season 6 episode, but last night’s episode has surely stunned hordes of GoT fans. Some of those eager viewers must have collapsed when they saw Arya Stark stabbed to death by someone unexpected. No one knows what happens next for the young Stark heiress. Even the most ardent fans of Game of Thrones do not know the sure answer to the question “Is Arya Stark dead?”

Does Arya Stark die in that brutal stabbing? Or does she survive? These questions are going to torment our minds till they get satisfied after watching next week’s Game of Thrones episode. And, we certainly hope that the satisfaction to these queries turns out pleasant, although that’s unlikely. Watching Game of Thrones season 6, episode 7 online has probably managed to ruin all the ongoing GoT fan theories. It has literally shattered the entire plot of who was more likely to claim the Iron Throne. The horrifying sight of yet another Stark getting killed has made Sunday’s (June 5) “The Broken Man” episode really tough to handle.

Before we relive that moment, we must take a look at what else happened in “The Broken Man” episode. Let’s not forget that even though there has been many deaths in this season, there has also been some amazing comebacks. In almost every episode of Game of Thrones season 6, new characters have emerged and disturbed the storyline with it. But we have also some old and forgotten characters who return to keep the balance. So, before we break down the scene of Arya Stark getting stabbed, let’s take a look at the highlights of last night’s episode. It is time for a Game of Thrones recap!

Game of Thrones Recap: “The Broken Man”

Soon after we all watched Game of Thrones season 6, episode 7 online, most of us were dying to watch it again, just to find out who stabbed Arya Stark (Miasie Williams) to death. Many of us were not happy with this gory twist in “The Broken Man” episode, but still, it was worth watching it again. We all know how Game of Thrones is not for the faint of heart, but we also know that the show has balanced it with some tense survivals.

Just like the previous season 6 episode, “The Broken Man” was an edgy episode, keeping the viewers restless till the next episode airs. A Game of Thrones recap on “The Broken Man” will let you know that it is all about this broken, wounded man.

Many of us, and even Arya herself, will be happy to know that the Hound has survived death and has returned to Game of Thrones. Cheating death in Game of Thrones is not that easy, but Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann) is not just an ordinary man. While the episode does tout him as a broken man, Clegane is way more healed than before.

Besides the return of The Hound, there are quite a few more revelations in “The Broken Man” episode. We saw Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) return to Highgarden to attack Faith Militant. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) get the support of the Wildlings army. And, we also see Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) offering a peace treaty to the Blackfish (Clive Russell).

Is Arya Stark Dead?

Meanwhile, in Braavos, Arya Stark tries to escape a treacherous killing: her own murder. While looking for a passage to Westeros, Arya gets stabbed in the stomach by Waif (Faye Marsay). But, she escapes from being stabbed further by jumping off the bridge into the stream. However, Arya is still heavily bleeding as she gets off on a shore and enters the city looking for cure. This has raised a lot of new Game of Thrones questions like “Is Arya Stark dead?” and “Does Arya Stark die from the stabbing?” People are also wondering whether this would have been the case for Arya if The Hound was around.
