#1. Samwell Tarly

Sam is dear friend and ally to Jon Snow, and has proven himself to be very useful —especially this season! Sam was the one who figured out where to find dragonglass and immediately sent Jon a raven so he could harvest it. During his time in the Citadel, he managed to cure Jorah’s greyscale, and almost discovered that Jon might not be a bastard after all. Sam left in a hurry because he is “tired of reading about the achievements of better men.” But where he ends up has yet to be seen. Could he be going to Winterfell to help Jon and Bran? Will he go home, only to discover he is the last living Tarly heir?

#2. The Hound

Sandor Clegane is now on the other side of the Wall with Jon and his new crew, but he was once Joffrey’s bodyguard. Though he turned a new leaf in the last couple seasons, he also might be the newest follower of the Lord of Light after seeing a vision in fire. Well, Jon has no choice but to trust the men he is stuck with to go beyond the Wall in search of a White Walker.

#3. The Mountain

Gregor Clegane is a freakishly tall man, who is absolutely ruthless. So it came as no surprise when he became Cersei’s personal bodyguard! The now-pregnant queen has her new and improved Qyburn monster at her side at all times.

#4. Tormund Giantsbane

Tormund Giantsbane is the leader of Free Folk who is now a loyal ally to Jon Snow. Trormund is currently part of the troupe on their way beyond Wall.

#5. Brienne of Tarth

The warrior woman who is trained better than any man in Westeros is sworn to protect both of Catelyn Stark’s girls. Fulfilling her promise, she is currently at Winterfell with both Arya and Sansa.

#6. Varys

The eunuch is known for his sneaky ways, little birds, and his shifting loyalties. He will always be true to himself, but was warned by Daenerys that he will regret it if he breaks his allegiance to her. Him found a confidante of sorts in Tyrion, as the two are following the Mother of Dragons from Dragonstone to King’s Landing.

#7. Bronn

You have to love this guy! Despite the fact that he tried to kill Drogon, he managed to save Jaime Lannister —even if only for his personal gains. He wants no part in the war and only wants what’s best for him. But his friendship with Tyrion seems to remain strong, as he smuggled the dwarf into the Red Keep to speak with Jaime. He might have made an enemy out of Cersei, who knew that Bronn tricked Jaime into speaking to Tyrion.

#8. Jorah Mormont

The leader of the friendzone is one of Daenerys’ most loyal companions, and was struck with greyscale. While receiving treatment in the Citadel, he meets Sam Tarly who cures him. Jorah heads to Dragonstone where he is met by a very welcoming and happy Dany. As loyal as always, he is now going beyond the Wall along with Jon and the others.

#9. Theon Greyjoy

Theon

The coward of Westeros is a fit title for Theon. Instead of helping his sister, Yara, from the grasp of their uncle, Euron, Theon jumps ship —literally. He was last seen in Dragonstone looking for Dany’s help, but was faced by a very angry Jon Snow instead.

#10. Gendry

The Baratheon bastard was sought out by Davos to leave King’s Landing and follow him back to Dragonstone. Gendry’s weapon is a hammer, which he brought with him while joining Jon beyond the Wall.

#11. Dolorous Edd

Eddison Tollett is a close friend of Jon’s from the Night’s Watch. After Jon’s resurrection, Eddison was named Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. He recently let Bran and Meera in from beyond the Wall, and is continuing his post.
