Halloween is practically here, which means it’s time for Hancock County’s biggest Halloween event: the 2016 Findlay-Hancock County Halloween Parade. The highly-anticipated parade, presented by the Hancock Leadership Alumni Association and sponsored by the Blanchard Valley Health System, will commence tonight (October 25) at 7:00 p.m. EST. 2016 Findlay-Hancock County Halloween Parade: October 25 at 7:00 p.m. EST

The much-awaited event is open to all Findlay and Hancock County groups, organizations, businesses, and schools. Registration options are available for non-profit organizations at $25.00 and for businesses at $90.00. If you chose to register as a “Preferred Placement,” you will be entitled to be one of the first 20 entries in the parade. Unfortunately, the “Preferred Placements” are sold out, so you are going to have to wait until next year.

Live Coverage of the Findlay, Ohio, Halloween Parade

The Findlay Halloween Parade promises to be bigger and better than ever this Halloween 2016, and will be covered on AM 1330 WFIN. The parade committee’s Grand Marshal will be Rosemary Rooker, who is the president of the Hancock Leadership Alumni Association. This is the 14th year that this association is the presenting the parade.

Host of Good Mornings, Chris Oaks, will be anchoring WFIN’s coverage of the show a little before 7:00 p.m. EST. Accompanying him will be News Director Doug Jenkins and Farm Services Director/Special Event Coordinator Vaun Wickerham. The Parade Will Start at East Main Cross Street 

This year’s Findlay Halloween Parade will give out seven awards for Best of Show, Most Original, Scariest, Funniest, Spirit of Halloween, Flag City USA Award, and the John Hancock Award. The event’s participants will proceed towards the west on East Main Cross Street, turning south on Main Street after which they will continue down on South Main Street and end at Lincoln Street.

Traditionally, the Findlay Halloween Parade includes a trick-or-treat night on the Thursday (one full week before Halloween) and the parade itself happens on Tuesday. Trick-or-treating will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 27. So come down with your friends and family, and enjoy. The Findlay-Hancock County Halloween Parade guarantees wholesome fun for the entire family.

Some of the participating bands in this year’s parade include the Findlay Trojan Marching Band, the Black Knight Marching Band, and the St. Wendelin Catholic School Marching Band.
