Rapper Lil Pump changed his name to Jet Ski.

On Saturday (April 7), DJ Akademiks posted a video on Twitter showing that Lil Pump has changed his name to Jet Ski. However, the news about Lil Pump’s name change is not true, and we are here to tell you why!

In the music industry, changing stage names is not a new thing. For example, rapper JAY-Z keeps changing his name from JAY Z to JAY-Z. And Sean Combs is known by several stage names including Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Brother Love, and Diddy.

Thanks to social media, music artists or rappers can easily announce the change of their names on various platforms.

And now, it appears that Lil Pump has also changed his name. The rapper is best known for his song, “Gucci Gang,” which ranked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

DJ Akademiks posted a video of Lil Pump on April 7, 2018, in which he announces that he has changed his name to Jet Ski.

In the video, Pump can be heard saying, “My new name is Jet Ski, okay? Don’t call me Lil Pump, call me Jet Ski.”

In a second video clip posted on the same Twitter handle, somebody off-camera calls out, “Yo, Pump,” several times, but Lil Pump refused to acknowledge them.

However, when this person off-camera says, “Yo, Jet Ski,” the rapper lifts his head and responds.

Did Lil Pump Change His Name to Jet Ski? feels that it was a spur-of-the-moment decision and is mainly a joke. As of now, Lil Pump has not announced on any of his social media accounts that he is planning to or has officially changed his name to Jet Ski.

Perhaps the video snippets were posted to garner attention from the public or to see how the rapper’s fans or people would react?

So, the news of Lil Pump’s name change appears to be absolutely fake for now, and we should wait until he actually confirms.
