An Australian magazine published an article on their website claiming that Kate Middleton’s gorgeous wedding dress can be purchased at H&M. But the reports about the wedding dress are false. Here’s why!

New Idea, an Australian magazine, published news on their website with a clickbait title about the Duchess of Cambridge. They claim that Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is available at H&M at an inexpensive price.

The article’s title gave hope to a lot of people who absolutely adored the Duchess’ gown and dream of wearing a similar one for their wedding. However, the news is far from the truth because the content on the website itself says something different.

New Idea states that H&M recently launched their first ever bridal collection, which includes cocktail dresses and lacy gowns. And, all of H&M’s dresses for brides and bridesmaids available in their latest bridal collection are at throwaway prices. The best part is that all the dresses are below $450!

The Australian magazine claims there is one particular wedding dress similar to the one Kate Middleton wore when she got married to Prince William in 2011. That same dress is not available because obviously it will cost a fortune and it is not up for sale.

However, the title of New Ideas’ news article was misleading. And many people thought that the actual dress was available at H&M.

Similarities and Differences Between Both Dresses

H&M has recreated the iconic wedding gown, which has the similar sweetheart neckline, lace overlay, and nipped in waist.

The only difference between the two dresses is Middleton’s long train, which was 2.7 meters in length and was carried by her sister and maid of honor, Pippa Middleton. The dress by H&M doesn’t have one.

The other significant difference is the cost of the dress.

Middleton’s wedding dress reportedly cost a whopping $350,855 (£250,000). Meanwhile, the recreated dress by H&M is only for $299.

Well, future brides-to-be, it appears you can fulfill your dream of walking down the aisle Kate Middleton-style without breaking the bank!

Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress

Sarah Burton specially designed Middleton’s wedding gown for Alexander McQueen. The original dress was kept on display at Buckingham Palace from July 23, 2011, until October 3, 2011.

Mandy Ewing was involved with the team that created the lace on Kate Middleton’s gown.

“We knew who it was for, but it was very secret – we had net curtains up and cleaners were not allowed into the room and the code on the door was changed,” Ewing said.

Ewing further added, “The dress was all in the news, but nobody knew who was doing it. When you’re working you just focus on it and try not think about what’s in the news. But it was an exciting event, and everybody loved working on it – it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

This year the focus and attention will be on Meghan Markle’s wedding dress. A lot of people are curious to know what she will wear when she walks down the aisle with Prince Harry. And of course, many people will try to recreate her wedding gown, too.

We hate to break it to you, folks. But we here at EarnTheNecklace.com believe that the reported title is fake.

Nevertheless, you can still buy Kate Middleton’s recreated beautiful wedding gown and rock it at your wedding.
