Even though there is an abundance of singing contests on TV these days, Fox’s The Four: Battle for Stardom stands apart from the rest.
The Four has a unique format where artists (known as challengers) sing in front of the judges and a live studio audience. They attempt to displace the four singers already chosen. At the end of the competition, the singer left “standing” among the four wins.
At the end of five weeks, the final four singers are: Vincint Cannady, Candice Boyd, Zhavia, and Evvie McKinney. McKinney made it to the finale of The Four on February 1, 2018, after dethroning Kendyle Paige by singing Aretha Franklin’s all-time classic, “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You).”
Judges Simply Blown Away
Both the audience and judges were blown away by McKinney’s talent and unanimously selected her over Paige, giving her the life-changing opportunity to be in the finale. Now it is up to McKinney to sing her heart out and win the competition by beating the remaining contestants.

Evvie McKinney’s age is 20, and she is from Memphis, Tennessee. She calls herself “a soul, funk, pop singer.” She is the youngest of seven children, and the amazing part is that her entire family is musically inclined. Some of her siblings play musical instruments while others rap and write songs.
