Year after year, Forbes has listed the 35-year-old as one of the highest-paid models in the world. According to the latest estimates, Alessandra Ambrosio’s net worth is $45.0 million! That’s a big step-up from her 2012 net worth of $6.0 million! In 2012, she was ranked sixth on Forbes‘ highest paid models list.
Ambrosio has earned most of her wealth from modeling. She took modeling classes when she was 12 years old and began modeling at the age of 15. She was appointed as the first spokesmodel for Victoria’s Secret’s flagship collection, PINK. The Victoria’s Secret Angels have their work cut out for them every year. They have to get their bodies looking even better than they already do before they walk the runway in the lingerie company’s latest line. Ambrosio will be walking with Victoria’s Secret for the 17th consecutive time on December 5.

Ambrosio showed off her toned stomach and legs, while modeling for her swimwear line. There’s no doubt she follows a strict diet and exercise regimen. Ambrosio said she follows the Tracy Anderson method of diet and exercise, followed by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez. The diet involves whole and organic foods complemented with the right amount of exercise.
Ambrosio claims that exercise was difficult for her when she first signed with Victoria’s Secret, but has since got into a routine. When she gave birth to her daughter, she only had three months to get into shape and open for the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She was working out with a trainer six times a week and was consuming 1500 calories a day that time.
She Admitted to Undergoing Cosmetic Surgery
It’s very rare for a celebrity to admit that they have gone under the knife. Ambrosio said in an interview that she was insecure about her large ears and at the age of 11, she underwent cosmetic surgery to have her ears pinned back. However, two years later, she suffered from complications resulting from the surgery.
The doctor who performed the surgery had only done it once before operating on Ambrosio. The botched surgery had left her in severe pain, “The first few nights, it felt like someone had cut off my ears,” Ambrosio said in the interview. For a year, Ambrosio had to undergo several small surgeries to fix it.
Her first cosmetic surgery experience traumatized the supermodel. She revealed on The Tyra Banks Show that her first cosmetic surgery experience had discouraged her from ever having another one.
She’s an Ambassador for The Multiple Sclerosis Society
Alessandra Ambrosio watched her father battle Multiple Sclerosis for 20 long years. Luis Ambrosio told the Daily Mail that his daughter was his real life angel, and has been his support system while he underwent treatment for MS. His daughter and his grandchildren help him get through each day.
Ambrosio’s father said that his aunt also had MS, and believes it is hereditary. But his two daughers were tested and had no signs of the chronic disease. Ambrosio also had her children tested, and they were clear, much to her family’s relief.
Alessandra Abrosio is the National Ambassador for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She does public service announcements for the organization, and urges people to reach and donate for the treatment of those suffering from MS, as well as research towards finding a cure.
