Evan Peters is an actor who has earned around $3 million net worth from starring in a few blockbuster movies and some hit television series. For those of you who don’t know him yet, you may recognize him from the award-winning series American Horror Story. But that certainly isn’t the only feat he’s accomplished!

Net Worth from Television

Before getting mainstream film and television roles, Peters started out by doing commercials for Sony PlayStation, Moviefone, Sour Patch Kids, Progressive Insurance, Papa John’s Pizza, and Kellogg. By 2004, he managed to land his first two major roles, the films Clipping Adam and Sleepover, before being cast as Cooper Day in ABC’s drama The Days. That same year, he also bagged a recurring role in the first season of the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future, followed by the role of Jesse Varon in the ABC sci-fi thriller series Invasion in 2005.

Over the next year, Peters made guest appearances in TV shows like Dirt, Without a Trace, Monk, and House M.D. Then, in 2008, he finally landed another recurring role, this time on the sixth season of the popular drama series One Tree Hill. Peters played John “Jack” Daniels, the younger brother of Xavier, who was the guy that held Brooke (Sophia Bush) captive. This role was followed by another series of guest appearances on shows like Ghost Whisperer (2009), Criminal Minds (2010), The Office (2010), and Parenthood (2011).

His biggest television breakthrough was getting hired in 2011 as part of the regular cast of the FX horror saga American Horror Story, a credit he still holds today. Peters has starred in all five American Horror Story installments/seasons to date: Murder House (2011), Asylum (2012), Coven (2013), Freak Show (2014), and Hotel, which just wrapped up on January 13. Peters is expected to return for American Horror Story season 6, and even told Variety that he’d be interested in possibly playing “some kind of handicapped [character]” this time around.

His subtle earnings from these television series undoubtedly added to Evan Peters’ net worth, but it was likely his American Horror Story role that enabled him to surpass the million dollar mark over the years, especially since his annual earnings appear to have risen each year since the show debuted.

Net Worth from Movies

Although he took on a couple of film roles early on in his career, people really started taking notice of his skills after playing Max Cooperman alongside Amber Heard in the hit street fighting movie Never Back Down in 2008. He later played the lead character Todd in the superhero satire flick Kick-Ass (2010) before reprising his Max Cooperman role for the sequel Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown (2011), which did not fare that well.

Peters starred in a couple of mediocre movies after that, but shocked everyone by bagging the role of mutant Quicksilver in the 2014 blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past. He reportedly earned just under $200,000 from that movie and will be seen again in this year’s much-anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse, along with two more upcoming films: the biographical drama Where the White Man Runs Away and the historical comedy Elvis & Nixon. Peters also starred in last year’s The Lazarus Effect and Safelight.

Net Worth from Marriage?

Having a $3 million net worth may not be much to boast about when you’ve dated (and almost married) someone who’s five times richer. Evan Peters started dating actress Emma Roberts (whose net worth is $15 million) in 2012 after they met on the sets of Adult World. Emma is the niece of Hollywood star Julia Roberts, so it was great for Peters to date someone with “Pretty Woman” genes. But the relationship didn’t go well.

While they were staying in a Montreal hotel in July 2013, neighbors overheard loud disputes coming from the couple’s room and had to call the police. The argument between the two heated up and even started getting physical, leading to Emma Roberts’ arrest when the police arrived; Peters wasn’t arrested, as there were no injuries seen on Emma. Peters didn’t press any charges and Roberts got released hours later.

Although the relationship took a bitter turn, they ended up getting back together and even got engaged later that year. Had they made it down the aisle, it could’ve had a positive impact on Evan Peters’ net worth, presuming there was no prenup involved on her part. Unfortunately, however, the engagement was called off in June 2015. That being said, the on-again-off-again couple has been recently rumored to have gotten back together, so we may be seeing a wedding after all.

Nevertheless, Evan Peters has a promising career as an actor to look forward to. With an ongoing TV show and several new movies on the horizon, it’s very likely that this star’s $3 million net worth is on its way up this year, without or without Emma Roberts. After all, he has made it this far on his own!
