The behavior of Yankees fans during the ALCS reached a new low when they targeted Houston Astros pitcher Zack Greinke. The talented pitcher has publicly struggled with anxiety and depression, which caused him to take a hiatus from playing in 2006. Yankees fans heckled Greinke during the October 17 game with taunts about his mental health struggles. And they even dragged Greinke’s wife into the mess. Emily Greinke has supported the MLB player as he’s battled social anxiety disorder. In fact, Zack credits her for being his pillar of strength. This Astros WAG is well-deserving of some appreciation in our Emily Greinke wiki.

Emily and Zack Are High School Sweethearts
Born Emily Kuchar on November 11, 1984 to Bonnie and Walter Kuchar, she hails from Florida. She and her brother, Nick, are both alumni of Apopka High School in Orange County, Florida.
Zack Greinke, born October 21, 1983, was the star of the baseball team at Apopka High School. That’s where he met Emily Kuchar and after dating for seven years, they got engaged.
After missing the 2006 season because of crippling social anxiety, Grienke made a comeback as a relief pitcher in 2007 and appeared in the 2009 All-Star game. Grienke and Kuchar tied the knot on November 21, 2009.
Zack credited Emily for helping him cope with his social anxiety and depression. “Just her always being there. You look in her eyes, and it just makes you feel good,” he said at that time.
They are parents to two boys, Bode Nicholas (born 2015) and Griffin (born June 2017).
