Elizabeth “Liz” Sandoz will go down in Bachelor history for being the woman who hooked up with Nick Viall months before appearing on the show. Besides her history with Viall, she also has a very interesting job.

Perhaps, the only thing Elizabeth “Liz” Sandoz will be remembered for is hooking up with Bachelor alum, Nick Viall at Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade and Tanner Tolbert’s wedding, almost a year before Viall’s season of The Bachelor. To make matters more interesting, she refused to give Viall her number after their hook-up, and was not in contact with him until The Bachelor season 21 premiere. Other than this promise of drama, Sandoz has an amazing job that also deserves some attention. Here’s what Elizabeth “Liz” Sanodz does for a living.

Sandoz is a Professional Doula

Fans of The Bachelor will agree that the franchise has seen some of the most outrageous professions from the women looking for love. Three of the contestants vying for Nick Viall are nurses. There are some in the education field, and others who own small businesses. Elizabeth “Liz” Sandoz is a professional doula.

What is a doula? A doula is like a midwife, only they provide support, help, and advice to the expecting mother before, during, and after childbirth. The doula’s role isn’t limited to the expecting mother, but also provides emotional support and advice to the father and the rest of the family. A doula is a non-medical person who has enough training to help with childbirth. As a doula, Sandoz plays a role in improving maternal and fetal health before, during, and after childbirth.

Doula’s Earn a Decent Living

When expecting parents want to hire the services of a doula, they consider various factors, including whether they want a natural childbirth or a medical one, which includes pain relief at the time of labor. Another factor to consider when hiring a doula is the price of their services.

A doula can earn anything between $800 and $2500. Their services include a prenatal visit, labor, delivery and a post-delivery follow-up. Sandoz presumably earns a decent living as a doula. Her net worth is not known, but it could certainly increase as it does for many participants on The Bachelor.

She Helped Her Sister During Childbirth

With great support from her family, Sandoz’s sister didn’t have to look far when it came time for her to give birth. According to her bio on ABC’s web site for The Bachelor, Elizabeth “Liz” Sandoz has said her greatest achievement was helping her sister give birth to her niece, Grace Sandoz.
