Elin Nordegren, 37, best known as Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, seems to be living a reclusive life these days. Why wouldn’t she? After all the courtroom drama and the media sensationalizing her personal life, it’s amazing that we haven’t seen her walking out of a shrink’s office yet! But on a serious note; where is Tiger Woods’ ex-wife now? We’ve got the scoop.

Life Before Tiger

Elin Nordegren is a Swedish former nanny and model. Born and raised in Stockholm to a politician mother and a radio journalist father, Nordegren was raised as a prudent kid. Quite early in life, she started living alone, working odd summer jobs to finance her education.

Elin Nordegren started her modeling career in 2000, when she posed on the cover of Cafe Sports Magazine for their summer issue.

Becoming Mrs. Tiger Woods

Elin Nordegren began dating professional golfer, Tiger Woods in 2002. They met through mutual friend, Mia Parnevik, the wife of Swedish golfer, Jesper Parnevik.

Elin Nordegren was Jesper Parnevik’s kids’ nanny when she met Woods at the British Open in 2001. Nordegren married Tiger Woods in October 2004, after dating for two years.

They had a lavish wedding at the Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados. Just to rent the entire resort, including three golf courses and 110 rooms, cost Woods a whopping $2.0 million!

Soon after the marriage, hot pictures of a nude Nordegren began surfacing on the Internet. But shortly after they were released, these pictures were deemed fake. But that didn’t stop Irish magazine, The Dubliner from featuring these hot pictures of who they thought was Elin Nordegren.

On November 16, 2006, Elin Nordegren filed a libel suit against The Dubliner and won. The Irish magazine had to cough up $366,500, plus all of Nordegren’s legal expenses!

A Mother of Two

In 2007, Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl named Sam Alexis Woods. And within two years, their second child, Charlie Axela, was born in 2009.

Elin Nordegren shares joint custody of the kids. Sam, who is now 6, and Charlie, now 5, split their time between Nordegren and Woods, which seems to be working out fine for the exes.

According to an interview with People last year, Nordegren explained that things were “really good” between her and Woods, and they they live just 25 minutes away from one another, making it ideal to co-parent their kids.

Her Highly Publicized Divorce

In December 2009, Elin Nordegren’s (failing) marriage to Tiger Woods became evident to the public, and the media extensively scrutinized her marital life after Woods admitted to infidelity.

A devastated Nordegren tried an unyielding attempt to fix her failed marriage, but more and more counts of Woods’ infidelity came to light. On August 23, 2010, she finalized her divorce from Tiger Woods at the Bay County Circuit Courthouse in Panama City, Florida.

Following their separation, Elin Nordegren did not go easy on her ex-husband. She won an impressive $110.0 million in the divorce settlement. From the divorce settlement, she purchased a $12.0 million Florida mansion.

Nordegren demolished the mansion built in the 1920s and had her own stunning North Palm Beach home custom-built in its place. A metaphor for her new beginnings, perhaps?

Following Her Divorce

After all the dust settled from the divorce, 37-year-old Elin Nordegren splurged quite lavishly on her new life. Her 21,000 square ft. grand mansion includes nine bedrooms and a home theater.

The interior decor was done by Celine Dion’s stylist, Angela Reynolds. The mega estate also includes a swanky swimming pool and a mini golf course, of course!

Before bulldozing the 1920s house to ground, Nordegren donated anything worth salvaging from the home to Habitat for Humanity.

Among the items auctioned by the charity was a 12-foot fountain with water spouting out of three lions’ mouths, five Sub-Zero refrigerators, 14 vanities, temperature-controlled wine coolers, cabinetry, and furniture. The total funds raised from the auction totaled about $30,000.

Elin Nordegren took the divorce blow really well. She resumed her studies in psychology and in May 2014, she graduated from Rollins College in Florida with a 3.96 GPA! She even had the honor of delivering the commencement speech at her graduation ceremony.

Her Brief Affair with Chris Cline

While pursuing her degree in psychology, Elin Nordegren starting dating billionaire, Chris Cline. But the relationship didn’t last very long. Nordegren parted ways with the 58-year-old after just one year into their relationship.

The couple split in August 2014. Cline’s busy schedule and constant traveling had led to the couple’s break-up. According to Forbes, the business tycoon’s net worth is $1.89 billion. He owns multiple coal mines and a luxury yacht, a 164-footer called Mine Games.

However, rumors were rife last year that they rekindled their love. This time last year, the two were spotted on a ski trip in Switzerland! They looked every bit back in love as they happily posed for photographers, while kissing and holding hands.

Now, it seems the mother of two has put all the bad publicity behind her, and is happy living her life for her kids. There is no reported man in her life at this time, but that doesn’t look like it’s bringing this lady down!

Elin Nordegren recovered from the roller coaster of emotions the media put her through when they aired out Woods’ dirty laundry. She has graduated top of her class, dared to fall in love again, and is doing an admirable job as a mother. As she said in an interview with People, “I have moved on and I am in a good place.”
