There’s never a shortage of action when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is on the scene and this latest story bites the big one. (See what we did there?) The 43-year-old wrestler turned actor was caught saving a man from a shark attack on set of the new Baywatch reboot in Savannah, Georgia, last week. Of course, it was just a part of the movie, but it’s still pretty thrilling anyway!

The Daily Mail showed set photos of the action scene taken last Friday and things didn’t look good for the victim. The young man, who appeared to have a fair chunk of his right arm bitten of, passed out while wearing a full-body swim suit. But odds are that the shark attack victim will make it since he had Johnson to look after him.

Photos also revealed Johnson to be wearing a red swim suit and running across the beach with the classic slow-motion strides that Baywatch is famous for. (How did they save people in time if they ran so slow anyway?)  The Rock is playing Mitch Buchannon, the character made famous by actor David Hasselhof on the ‘90s TV series.

But gory scenes aren’t all that’s in store for Johnson in this action-comedy remake. He also gets to have a beautiful love interest, Ilfenesh Hadera, who plays Stef. The actress will also be a lifeguard and was chosen by Johnson, who’s also the movie’s producer. In a Daily Mail interview, he described Hadera as “a 5’11, walkin’ smokestack with legs for days. Smart and tougher than new rope. [sic]” (Sounds like The Rock’s type—after all, he does tend to favor strong, independent women.)

Later in the day, The Rock shared a picture of himself in front of a plane with the caption: “Hurry up and take the pic, I can only hold this tough guy b******t look for so long. [sic]” (Sounds like something he would say.)
Baywatch will be in theaters on May 19, 2017. Will you be there?
