What Is The Christmas Cottage About?

Before we get to talking about the cast of The Christmas Cottage, it’s important that you learn a little bit about the plot of this adorable holiday film. And what good is a Christmas movie if it’s not centered on a mounting will-they-won’t-they Ross and Rachel from Friends type of romance? That’s exactly the type of chaos that ensues when Lacey Quinn returns to her hometown to serve as the maid of honor in her best friend Ava’s wedding. As luck would have it, Lacey’s ex-boyfriend, Ean, who just happens to be Ava’s brother, will also be serving as the best man in the wedding! One of Lacey’s main duties as the maid of honor is to decorate the Callahan family cottage, also known as the Christmas Cottage, for the wedding reception. Everything seems fine at first, until she learns that she’ll be forced to work with Ean and spend the night before the wedding at the cottage with him! It’s rumored that when two people spend a night together at the cottage, they’re destined to fall in love! Will Lacey and Ean rekindle their romance? Tune in to find out! The Cast of The Christmas Cottage

Merritt Patterson as Lacey Quinn

Born in Whistler, British Columbia, Merritt Patterson has been performing in different capacities since she was a young child. She first took an interest in dancing at the age of 11 and continued performing competitively all throughout her high school career. At the age of 16, she competed in the 2006 Canadian Herbal Essences’ Teen Model Search and triumphed over the 10,000 other young female participants! Merritt has always had a knack for acting, singing, and dancing. She got her start on the hit ABC Family show, Kyle XY, which ran for 5 seasons from 2006 until 2009. Following that, she received numerous offers and was eventually cast in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010). She’s also appeared on the hit CW series, Supernatural and she had a recurring role as Ophelia Pryce on The Royals. In 2018, Merritt will be starring in Unbroken: Path to Redemption, which is currently in post-production.

Steve Lund as Ean

You might recognize Canadian-born actor Steve Lund from a large range of film and TV projects, including Bitten, Schitt’s Creek, Haven, Blue Mountain State, and Clusterf**k (2017). He also had a minor recurring role in the Netflix Original Series, Hemlock Grove. Originally hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Steve is an alumnus of the prestigious Vancouver Film School acting program.

Brittney Wilson as Ava Callahan

Another well known Canadian-born actor, Brittney Wilson has managed to build up a very impressive acting resume, having started her career at the tender age of 6. She’s accumulated countless acting credits to her name including recurring roles on Bates Motel and Johnny Test. She’ll be starring in an upcoming project called Bed Bugs: A Love Story.
