Country music diva, Carrie Underwood cranked things up a notch with The Storyteller Tour in 2016. While there’s no word on a Carrie Underwood tour in 2017, we still get the opportunity to watch her dominate the stage. The Academy of Country Music Awards will be held tonight, and the stunning songstress will take the stage in a spectacular fashion. She’s also nominated in two of the biggest categories of the night. Here’s the latest Carrie Underwood news to remind you she’s the Queen of Country.

The Favorite American Idol

The Oklahoma native went from singing in local talent shows to the biggest music stage on television. From the moment she auditioned for American Idol season 4, Carrie Underwood could not be stopped. The AI winner began her music career with her first single, “Inside Your Heaven” in 2004 that debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her first album, Some Hearts, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and at #2 on the Billboard 200. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America eight times cementing her status in the country music scene.

Since then, she became an acclaimed singer winning multiple Grammys, Billboard Awards, and country music honors. She has more #1 songs under her belt than any other Idol alum. She has performed to sold-out tours all over the country.

Her last tour, The Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round brought together spectacular stage production and Underwood’s flawless voice together. This groundbreaking artist has amassed a net worth of $85 million in her career.

Her personal life is pretty great too. She’s married to Canadian professional hockey player, Mike Fisher who currently plays in Nashville. The singer actually met Fisher, who had been her fan for a long time, at a meet-and-greet. It turned out that her band’s bassist, Mark Childers orchestrated the meeting!

The couple married in 2010 in a grand wedding that had more than 200 people in attendance. In 2015, she gave birth to their first child, a son named Isaiah Fisher, who just turned two on February 27. The cute little tot made everyone gush over him when he appeared working out with his mom on her Instagram.

Underwood Makes Some Big Changes

Carrie Underwood made fans go wild over her golden lob haircut, but being on the road for a long tour doesn’t give her time for touch-ups. Now that she wrapped up her tour, she’s got time for a new do. However, we’re not going to see Carrie Underwood’s new hairdo until she hits the red carpet of the ACM Awards tonight.

But that’s not even the biggest change in the 34-year-old’s life. The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer has left her longtime record label, Sony Music Nashville, after 12 years. She signed with Capitol Records Nashville which is part of Universal Music Group.

“It’s so inspiring to me as an artist to feel this excited about the future. The incredible team at UMG shares the heart and passion I have for music as well as the drive, and their innovative spirit has shown that together the possibilities are endless,” Underwood said. Her new label raises our anticipation for a new Carrie Underwood song or album in 2017.

Could She be the Big Winner of the AMC Awards?

Saddle up for the 2017 AMC Awards! Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will sing their country-pop hit, “The Fighter” on stage tonight. They made us fall in love with the song inspired by Urban’s wife, Nicole Kidman, when they performed it on the finale of American Idol farewell season. They also brought “The Fighter” to the 2017 Grammys stage. But we could do with seeing it once again at tonight’s ACM Awards.

She’s also expected to sweep the Awards tonight. Underwood is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, and though the competition is tough, her Storyteller album is in a sweet spot to take home the award. Her other nomination of the night is for the AMC’s top honor: Entertainer of the Year. She’s the only female artist among the five nominees.

Don’t miss Carrie Underwood on the ACM Awards 2017 live at 8:00 p.m EST only on CBS.
