Late last year, Fifth Harmony became Fourth Harmony, after Camila Cabello left the group. Though she had gained a lot of fame and wealth with Fifth Harmony, many wonder how Cabello’s wealth stands today? Today is her 20th birthday and already, she has amassed a net worth of $3.5 million.
Camila Cabello has been keeping herself quite busy since leaving Fifth Harmony. After being featured on tracks by various artists, she’s now cooped herself up in the recording studio to work her debut solo album. She shared a picture of herself hard at work with collaborator, Pharrell Williams and producer, Frank Dukes on her Instagram. The former Fifth Harmony member also turns 20 today (March 3) and her birthday wish is for her breasts to be “a LITTLE bigger.” Since it’s not within our means to fulfill her birthday wish, we’ll celebrate her birthday with all things Cabello, including information on her life, career and net worth. Do you think her wealth increased since her departure from Fifth Harmony? Find out in Camila Cabello’s net worth.
How Rich is Camila Cabello?
Cabello debuted with Fifth Harmony in 2013 and amassed a net worth of $1.0 million. After leaving the group in December 2016, her net worth saw no decline. Now, in 2017, she has more than doubled her net worth and her fortune is estimated to be around $3.5 million. The singer has come a long way since auditioning for The X Factor. In 2016, Time named her one of the Most Influential Teens among former First Daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama and Olympian, Laurie Hernandez. She may only be 5’2″, but she’s making some seriously big moves in her career.
Fifth Harmony as a five-member group was worth $5.0 million dollars. However, it’s interesting to not that the worth of the group hasn’t been impacted much since losing one of their members. But how does Camila Cabello’s net worth compare to her former bandmates?
The girls of Fifth Harmony have more or less the same net worth as Cabello’s at this time. While Dinah Jane Hansen also has a net worth of $3.5 million, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei’s fortunes amount to $3.0 million. Aly Brooke has a net worth of $2.0 million. Cabello’s net worth also falls short to Lorde, who’s got $9.0 million to her name. Another pop princess who just turned 20 is Becky G, whose net worth is estimated at $1.0 million. Cabello’s alleged boyfriend, Shawn Mendes has a net worth of $3.0 million, while ex-boyfriend, Austin Mahone’s wealth is estimated to be around $5.0 million.

How Much Does Cabello Earn Annually?
Cabello’s annual income is hard to estimate at this point considering she only left Fifth Harmony in December 2016. It’s also not known how the income of the group was distributed among the five girls while she was still a member. Fifth Harmony as a whole earned around $2.0 million annually.
Now that Cabello is no longer a part of the group, she’s forming her own path. She was a featured artist on other singers’ tracks and also has a few songwriting credits to her name. She’s releasing a new album soon, which will likely add to her income and net worth because if you haven’t noticed already, this girl’s got chops! The new album is slated to release in the fall and we can’t wait for it!
Her net worth significantly grew from the days she was a contestant on The X Factor, through her Harmonizing days, and now as a solo artist. In 2012, her net worth was only $500,000. In just a short music career of five years, her wealth has grown by $3.0 million and will increase further.

How Did Cabello Earn Her Wealth?
The now 20-year-old earns most of her income as a singer and songwriter. The rest comes from endorsement and sponsorship contracts. Cabello broke into the music industry by auditioning for The X Factor. The Cuban-American actually ditched her own quinceañera to audition for the show!
She auditioned as a solo act and got through, but didn’t make it far in the competition. She returned to The X Factor Bootcamp together with four other female contestants, who were also eliminated. Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato mentored and formed these girls into a group, which was later called Fifth Harmony. They finished third in The X Factor, but Cowell signed them to his label, Syco.

Camila Cabello and the other girls also have individual contracts with Epic Records. With Fifth Harmony, Cabello sold a total of 424,000 albums, seven million digital songs, and earned 1.6 billion on-demand streams in the U.S. She also released and co-wrote two singles, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes and “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly. Both songs made it in the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. She also co-wrote and was featured in Cashmere Cat’s, “Love Incredible” and Pitbull’s, “Hey Ma.” “Hey Ma” will be heard in the upcoming Fate of the Furious 8 soundtrack with two versions (one in English, the other in Spanish) being released.
Cabello and the other girls signed an endorsement contract with Kohl’s juniors apparel brand, Candie’s in 2015. The group also had contracts with BrownTrout, Clean & Clear, JCorp, and Accessory Innovations. It’s not known what happened to the contracts after Cabello walked away from the group, or whether she signed any individual endorsement deals of her own.
When it was announced that she was leaving the group, no one was sure about what Cabello’s future plans were. Some people were a little too concerned about her finding work. By “some people,” we mean Pornhub, who reportedly offered her millions of dollars to shoot a series of explicit videos as herself. Cabello and her representatives didn’t even dignify the offer with a response.
Cabello has no need for shady deals. A numerical representation of Cabello’s contribution to Fifth Harmony’s songs as done by Genius.com shows that at least 50% of singing share in their albums were done by Cabello. So, a solo career really doesn’t seem too farfetched. She can make her own way continuing on the path she is now, and by the sounds of her latest collaborations, it looks like she’s going to be just fine!
How Does Cabello Spend Her Money?
Most young stars tend to spend their money on fancy rides, lavish lifestyles, and luxurious cribs. Look at 19-year-old Kylie Jenner’s Ferraris and sprawling house, or Justin Bieber’s fleet of cars. But we’ve never heard of Camila Cabello spending her paycheck on many luxuries. Then again, she’s only just started her career and still has a long way to go. Or maybe she’d rather hitch a ride with Shawn Mendes and spark even more dating rumors!
What we do know is that Cabello contributes to charity. Fifth Harmony supported DoSomething.org and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. They performed for patients at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and held seminars in schools about social media awareness and cyber-bullying.
In 2016, Camila Cabello partnered with Save The Children to help support children in developing countries. She designed a limited-edition “Love Only” t-shirt to help raise awareness of issues like girls’ equal access to education, health care, and opportunities to succeed. She also collaborated with the non-profit arts organization, OMG Everywhere to record the charity single, “Power in Me” with producer, Benny Blanco. She also raised money for the Children’s Health Fund. Beautiful, talented and generous; a great mix!
