NBC’s hit reality singing competition, The Voice is in its 12th season, and is still more popular than ever. Millions of viewers tune in every week to see if their favorite singers will advance to the next round. The Voice’s celebrity judges, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine got to pick singers from all walks of life during a “Blind Audition,” forming teams who will battle it out for the title of “The Voice” winner. With the fun and interesting Blind Audition rounds over, it’s time for the coaches to pit their team members against one another in the highly-anticipated Battle Rounds. The 48 contestants are divided into four teams of 12 members each, and will practice their duets along with their respective coaches. Currently, Blake Shelton and his adviser, Luke Bryan are mentoring Team Blake contestants, Brennley Brown and Lauren Duski. Who will win in the much-awaited Brennley Brown vs. Lauren Duski face-off?
The Voice Battle Rounds: Brennley Brown vs. Lauren Duski
One of the most talented singing duos on The Voice season 12, these country sensations are ready to set the stage on fire in the Battle Rounds. The competition is definitely tougher this season, since the age criteria was lowered from 15 to 13, to encourage younger talents to pursue their dreams of singing professionally. Both Brennley Brown and Lauren Duski blew the coaches away with their phenomenal Blind Audition performances, so making a decision between the two will not be an easy task for Blake Shelton. Brennley Brown: One of the Youngest Contestants on The Voice Season 12
At just 15 years of age, Brown is one of the youngest participants this season, and perhaps the most gifted. The adorable teen had audiences gushing over how cute she was after her extraordinary rendition of “Stupid Boy,” by Keith Urban. Barely halfway through her audition, Blake Shelton pushed the buzzer and whirled around, followed by Alicia Keys. After both the judges fought over the Apple Valley native for their team, Brown eventually went with Shelton, feeling that he was a better fit for her country style of music. There’s no doubt that Brown’s angelic voice stole the show, but her country chic white dress and brown fringe boots only added to her mass appeal.

After her performance, the visibly excited Brown gushed, “Being 14, it’s a lot of pressure. A lot of excitement and nerves were tied that day, but I grounded myself in my faith and gave it my all. It’s one of those life moments where you just have to go for it and I’m so glad I did. I told myself I’d be grateful for any chair to turn.”
Lauren Duski: The Dentist Who Dreamt of Becoming a Star
This 25-year-old singing powerhouse from Gaylord, Michigan stunned onlookers with her nightingale voice. Her unique rendition of Jewel’s “You Were Meant for Me” made three judges turn their chairs almost immediately. The daughter of dentists, Duski put off going to dental school to pursue her passion for music, and currently spends her time touring Michigan with the JR Country Band. With a voice as hauntingly beautiful as hers, there’s no doubt that Duski is favored to go far in the competition.
