Here at, we regularly talk about the many things celebrities post on social media. Most of it is pretty normal, like a photo of their children or their next big project. But sometimes, some of the stuff that gets shared is really out there, and Blake Lively’s recent post may be one of the strangest of all.

Lively took to Instagram yesterday and, well, we’ll let her explain: “It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s @mariotestino ‘s Kate Moss …as a nun …and it’s alive. @ashleylongshoreart you’ve really done it this time [sic].”

At first glance, the accompanying video looks like an animated painting of what is supposed to be model Kate Moss—although it’s honestly hard to tell with the makeup and attire—dressed as a nun. Hit the “play” button, though, and “Kate” moves her head and facial muscles—and it looks disturbingly realistic! As creepy as it is, you just can’t help but watch it over and over.

Apparently Lively’s fans weren’t at all turned off by this bizarre post either, because it has received over 75,000 likes so far! While many of the comments obviously focus on how weird the image is, some were able to look past the strangeness, with one person even saying it was “actually really cool.” “Blake Lively loves @ashleylongshoreart too. Stars – they’re just like us!” said one fan, referring to the image’s artist, Ashley Longshore.

This actually isn’t the first time in recent memory that Blake Lively has posted something people found odd on Instagram. A November 24 post depicts Lively inside what appears to be a tent, holding a seagull, and sporting damaged feet. Unfortunately, no context was provided, though we can certainly speculate; perhaps she was taking part in some sort of humanitarian effort? Of course, it’s always possible that she’s learned her social media etiquette from her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who has a history of being a social media oddball!
