Netflix is the way more and more people are able to stream their favorite movies and TV shows. Netflix has a lineup of Christmas movies to celebrate the holiday season this year and we’ve got the list of the best ones to watch this Christmas!

Netflix is adding new movies and shows to its holiday roster leading up to Christmas, so you’re going to want to grab a hot cup of cocoa, curl up on your cozy couch and tune into Netflix to watch all your favorite holiday movies! Whether or not you have already seen these holiday Netflix movies, you’ll likely watch them again, because these are the best holiday classics on Netflix this season! Here are the best Christmas movies to watch on Netflix for 2016.

#1. The Legend of Frosty the Snowman

Based on the Frosty the Snowman cartoon, this winter classic is great for kids and adults alike. In this animated movie, Frosty the Snowman comes to the town of Evergreen, run by a strict Mayor. Frosty teaches the dull townsfolk and children the magic of Christmas in this 2005 classic.

#2. Happy Christmas

The 2014 film stars Anna Kendrick from Pitch Perfect and Melanie Lynskey from Two and a Half Men. Irresponsible Jenny (Kendrick) moves in with her brother, Jeff (Joe Swanberg). Jeff and his wife Kelly (Lynskey) are struggling to balance their demanding careers, while taking care of their toddler. Jenny upturns the couple’s life and forces Kelly to reconfigure her life and career, while the couple helps Jenny get her act together.

#3. Saving Santa

In this animated film, Neville Baddington (Tim Curry) has invaded the North Pole and kidnapped Santa Claus! Bernard D. Elf (Martin Freeman) must use Santa’s sleigh and time globe to go back in time and save Santa Claus (Tim Conway) and the North Pole from the clutches of Neville Baddington.

#4. While You Were Sleeping

This Classic ‘90s Rom-Com stars Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman, and Peter Gallagher. Lucy (Bullock) rescues the man (Gallagher) who she admired from afar, after he’s mugged. He slips into a coma and the family think he and Lucy are engaged. Lucy goes with the ruse to stay with him, and along the way, falls in love with his brother, Jack (Pullman).

#5. Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse

How can you not like Mickey Mouse? The Disney icon’s Christmas special is a must-watch for kids, or even for adults who want to relive their childhood Disney days. Mickey and the gang get snowed in on Christmas. But leave it to Mickey to entertain his guests, by showing them classic Christmas cartoons of the gang, including Donald On Ice, Pluto’s Christmas Tree, The Nutcracker, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol. 

#6. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

Since we’re talking about Mickey and the gang, how can we miss out Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas? This 1999 classic includes three stories narrated by Kelsey Grammar; Donald Duck Stuck on Christmas, A Very Goofy Christmas, and Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi. While you’re at it, you might as well watch the sequel, Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas.

#7. I Am Santa Claus

This is a documentary that offers a unique perspective on Christmas, and is a definite must-watch this holiday season. Ever wonder what do those Santas at shopping malls do the rest of the year? This documentary follows five Santa Clauses from all over the United States for a whole year, to see what motivates them to put on the Santa costume and spread joy and cheer to children during Christmas.

#8. Get Santa

This is a great movie to watch with the entire family. A man and his son have to help get Santa back home when his sleigh crashes in their backyard! Santa’s reindeer are running loose in London, and the father-son duo must find them and help Santa in time for Christmas.

#9. Ernest Saves Christmas

This 1988 holiday classic is from the Ernest franchise. Ernest (Jim Varney), is a taxi driver who helps Santa Claus find his successor and save Christmas. They get into a spree of adventures with Harmony (Noelle Parker) and other characters. To this day, the film remains a cult classic Christmas film.

#10. A Very Murray Christmas

This Netflix original Christmas special is hosted by none other than Bill Murray! Murray plans to host a live Christmas variety show, but a huge snowstorm hits NYC on the very day. Since most of the audience and performers can’t make it to the show, it’s up to Murray to turn the disaster into a success with some music and comedy. The musical comedy also stars Chris Rock, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus, Jason Schwartzman, Amy Poehler, and many more familiar faces.
