Arrow Season 6 Air Date

Different Arrow season 6 time. Different Arrow season 6 channel. Oliver Queen and company are back (well, some of them anyway) and fans can watch the season 6 premiere, “Fallout” on Thursday, October 12 at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Arrow Season 5 Finale Recap

Last time we saw Team Arrow, Oliver and his team were up against the show’s most sinister villain to date, Adrian Chase, who called himself Prometheus. He posed as the city’s district attorney and wanted revenge on Oliver for killing his father back in the first season. The season ended with a bang —literally! Lian Yu, the island where Oliver spent five years stranded, was blown up after Chase shot himself in the head. The worst part? All of Oliver’s friends were on the island!

Who Survived on Arrow?

The executive producers have been tight-lipped about who survived the explosion but we know for sure—thanks to a few spoilers—that Felicity and Diggle are alive! Dinah (the newest Black Canary), Black Siren, and Slade are already in the trailer, so that wasn’t a mystery. But fans are wondering about Oliver’s sister Thea, as well as Curtis, Nyssa, Rene, and Quentin. Samantha is found dead in the trailer, which is how Oliver inherits his long-lost son, William. It’s possible that Thea is in a coma from the blast, since she was last seen running after Samantha and due to their proximity, it would make sense that Thea would be in bad shape—but the showrunners have confirmed that she’s not dead and will be seen in flashbacks for a while, due to Willa Holland’s request to cut back her screen time. There’s also a huge two-night crossover event between all The CW superhero shows (Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, and Arrow), so it will be all hands on deck, hopefully.

What to Expect in Season 6

The theme this season is family and although we’re going to see a more mature Oliver for a change, fans will still get a darker show, judging by the trailer. One thing Oliver has to deal with is raising his son as a single father and as expected, it doesn’t come naturally.

“Oliver’s doing his best, but obviously he’s learning on the fly,” Stephen Amell told Entertainment Weekly. “This is not a situation where William went from an infant to a toddler to — he’s on the verge of being a teenager now and Oliver has had to step in. William has also had to deal with seeing things for the first time in his life that would traumatize anybody. So Oliver is doing his best, but William is a reluctant participant, so to speak.”

We can also expect a legion of villains both in and out of costume this season, plus a new Green Arrow suit! Bratva leader Anatoly is back and looking to make trouble for Oliver, Black Siren, and Black Canary who face off multiple times. Oliver also has to deal with FBI Agent Samanda Watson, who is investigating him and his connection to Green Arrow. Speaking of vigilantes, the anti-hero, Vigilante, will finally be unmasked this season and it’s been hinted that he’s someone we know!

Season 6 of Arrow premieres on Thursday, October 12 at 9:00 p.m. EST on The CW.
