We’re only one episode into the second half of the season, but already Arrow is throwing in serious twists. After getting paralyzed from Damien Darhk’s (Neal McDonough) gun-shot wounds, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), the fiancée of Oliver Queen/The Arrow (Stephen Amell), is finding it hard to keep up with Arrow and the team, and her medications don’t seem to be helping either. But the team won’t be able to take down the Shadowspire organization without Felicity’s tech assistance. Catch the extended promo of Arrow season episode 11, titled A.W.O.L., to get a sneak peek (and perhaps even some spoilers) of what’s in store tonight—the new episode airs at 8/7c on The CW.

The plot certainly seems to thicken even further tonight when Diggle’s (David Ramsey) wife, Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson), gets kidnapped from a government facility by a criminal Special Forces unit called Shadowspires. The Star City vigilantes get on the mission to rescue her, but need someone’s help to get into the Shadowspires base—they need Felicity, who’s the IT mastermind, but she hasn’t been able to recuperate.

As fans of the show will recall, Felicity got shot in a previous episode and survived, but lost her ability to walk. After surgery, Felicity is left paralyzed in a wheelchair and on heavy medications. In such a situation, she starts losing her mind as hacking down the enemy base starts taking a toll on her. The extended promo ends with Felicity quitting the team, leaving the show’s fans a bit baffled. It certainly makes sense now why Arrow season 4 episode 11 has been named A.W.O.L. (which is short for “Absent Without Official Leave”).

Apart from this, the episode tonight will likely also catch up on other things from the Blood Debts episode last week, especially with Lonnie Machin (Alexander Calvert) back to take down Darhk. But Oliver’s plan to track Machin to get to Darhk went awry, as Machin attackeds Darhk’s family instead. The team arrived just in time to save them and out of gratitude for saving his family, Darhk granted Oliver some time before he gets back at him. Last week’s episode also showed how Oliver agreed to help Baron Reiter (Jimmy Akingbola) as a thank you for saving him from Conklin (Ryan Robbins). Tonight’s episode will hopefully show more about how this new alliance plays out.

Be sure to catch Arrow season 4 episode 11, A.W.O.L., airing tonight (January 27) at 8/7c on The CW. In the meantime, take a look at the episode’s extended trailer. If you haven’t seen last week’s episode yet, beware of spoilers!
