She’s a Show Biz Star
She was born January 28, 1998 as Ariel Winter Workman. She is an American actress and voice actress famous for her role in the television comedy series, Modern Family as Alex Dunphy. She began her career in 2004 and it’s no wonder she ended up in showbiz – her birthplace in Los Angeles, California! Her first entertainment gig was a Cool Whip commercial and she was a voice actor for several animated works, including Bambi II and Ice Age: The Meltdown.
She had A Life-Changing Surgery
Winter struggled with an expedited growth spurt in her mid-teens. In an interview with Glamour the young actress explained, “I remember being at my sister’s wedding and being so flat and thinking, ‘I just wish I could grow boobs!’ and then overnight I did… I was 15 years old with [size] F [breasts].” It was hard enough for her to find clothes to fit, and she was frustrated with the attention she dreaded from the media. In the interview with Glamour, Winter expressed the emotional and, even worse, physical pain she endured on a daily basis. She decided to get a breast reduction to reduce the size from a 32F to a 34D and she couldn’t be happier with the comfort of that decision.
Much of the media questioned about Ariel Winter’s scars and why she never tried to conceal them. She used Twitter to respond, “They are a part of me and I’m not ashamed of them at all. :)”
She is Not a Fan of Body Shamers
Ariel Winter’s graduation dress brought on a hail storm of criticism. She wore a tightly fitted pink dress to her high school’s graduation party and many found it inappropriate. The front of the dress is cut out below the bust, revealing her “underboob.” She tweeted, “Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress. And if you hate it, don’t buy it. But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody.”
She Posts Seductive Selfies
Winter’s graduation dress was not the only outfit that magnetized criticism and praise on social media. Her Instagram account features photos of her in bikinis, tight clothes, and barely-there ensembles, revealing her arms, legs and torso. Embrace those curves, girl!
She is an Unintentional Advocate for Positive Body Image
Ariel Winter’s butt is one of the things she is proud of, however, according to ET Online, the positive body image promotion is unintentional. Winter never set out to make her Instagram about this cause, she simply enjoys sharing her life with her fans. The 18-year-old commented, “Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt’s out. It’s a butt. Everyone has a butt. I don’t think it’s crazy.” In another interview with The Talk, Winter stated, “I think there are so many bigger issues in the world that we should be focusing on than what we’re wearing.”
