Pop star Ariana Grande recently had to cancel the remaining dates of her international tour. While unfortunate for her legion of fans across the world, she hasn’t let it get her down—if anything, it’s the opposite!
The singer and actress recently tweeted, “Babies, I’m so sad I won’t be able to make it abroad this December but I can’t wait to see u & reschedule for next year.i love you so much. [sic]” Many people immediately put forth theories for the sudden cancellation of a major tour, suggesting reasons such as illness or the star simply being “burned out” from her hectic celebrity schedule. And of course, her fans were supportive of her decision, one even stating to “always remember that you have to put yourself before us and that we will never leave.” Now that’s loyalty!
It has now been a week since that announcement and while the reason for the cancellation still isn’t clear, it looks as if it isn’t illness, but rather some good old-fashioned R&R. That’s because Grande recently took to Instagram to show what she’s been up to lately—taking it easy!Photo: Instagram/arianagrande
The image shows Grande having a good time with friends. However, she admitted the photo isn’t her best work, having edited the word “fail” into it and calling it “the worst / greatest photo.” The text says the pic is from a night staying in with her friends, and that she’s been spending her time “writing, resting, singing, enjoying friends / fam, wearing onesies (literally my wardrobe for the rest of the year) and sleeping in my new lil home studio on a bean bag. [sic]” Fortunately, it looks like she’s still working on new music, adding in the caption that she’s been spending lots of time in her “new lil home studio [sic].”
While you would think fans might have been upset that their chance to see the star play live was cancelled so she could party and sit around the house, the post’s over 603,000 likes and thousands of supportive comments show otherwise. With so many declarations of love and admiration from fans worldwide, it’s clear they’ll wait as long as it takes for Ariana Grande to return to the stage!
