American Ninja Warrior 2017 Schedule

What channel is American Ninja Warrior on? When does American Ninja Warrior start? If you have asked either of these questions, then you’re in the right place. Your American Ninja Warrior channel is NBC and it’s a special Red Nose Day episode. Red Nose Day is a charity that helps children in need all over the world and this time, they’ve partnered with the hit adrenaline show to raise awareness.

The Season 9 premiere will air on Thursday May 25 at 8:00 p.m. EST and will have past “ninjas” coaching celebrity guests. Canadian actor and Arrow star, Stephen Amell will show fans what he’s made of this Thursday, and he will be coached by San Antonio’s Kacy Catanzaro.

Amell originally wrote to the show directly via Twitter last year and they said they would love to have him. But, sometime later on, Amell sent a message that seemed more like a polite decline than an absolute confirmation.

“They’ve reached out to me to do American Ninja Warrior,” Amell said. “We’ll see. One of the things that I’m learning now as someone that has a big responsibility at the head of a television show and has some business interests and is a husband and a father — priorities not being in that order — I don’t want to stretch myself too thin, and I wouldn’t want to do something if I couldn’t put my heart and soul into it.”

While that was the case earlier, Amell was given the green light to participate in the adrenaline-packed obstacle course and sources have said that he did well, proving his very own athleticism. Amell is known for doing majority of his own stunts on Arrow (kicks, flips and all!), so we aren’t surprised that he was able to hold his own against all the other celebrities, especially if it’s for a good cause.
