If there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, Amanda Bynes is hoping to find it. To say the actress has publicly lived through a mental breakdown  and endured some pretty awful media headlines would be an understatement. But now the previously troubled Hollywood starlet is hoping to put all of that behind her as reports have indicated that Amanda Bynes is looking for love.

Past Relationship Troubles

This is a huge step for Bynes as her past relationships haven’t ended well. Though their being a couple was never confirmed, according to several sources, she was linked to rapper Kid Cudi as early as 2010. Those same rumors indicated that Cudi ended the union because Amanda Bynes tweeted too much. Bynes later accused Cudi of having herpes, a claim that was dispelled by the “Day ‘N’ Nite” singer.

Then in 2013, another flame started with former baseball player turned L.A. sports agent Doug Reinhardt. In an interview with OK! Magazine, Doug said that Amanda has “a few screws loose.” He also said “she would go crazy on me for no reason,” before softening the comments by adding “she’s a great girl.”

Some Not-So-Normal Behavior

At the time, Bynes was already showing some behavior that was out of the ordinary for the comic actress. She went on several Twitter wars in which she called Rihanna, Jenny McCarthy, and model Chrissy Teigen ugly. She was also arrested for throwing a bong outside of her New York City apartment window, which lead to an arrest for possession of marijuana.

Even more concerning at the time was when some witnesses apparently saw her speaking to herself in public. She also allegedly locked herself in rooms for hours and claimed that it was her doppelganger doing all of these strange things.

But that was the past, and after a diagnosis of bipolar disorder for which she began seeking treatment, Bynes has been able to stay out of the public eye for the last couple of years. Her strange behavior led to an involuntarily stay at a psychiatric institution, from which she been released for some time now, but she is still under conservatorship of her mother, Lynn.

Now Amanda is doing great, according to reports from sources close to OK! Magazine. The next goal for the previously troubled 29-year-old is to find a man. But there’s absolutely no rush for Amanda. She has no dating timeline to meet and apparently is happy to just be doing well.

Sources say Amanda told her friends of her intentions to get back into the dating scene. Some are excited and say a “drama-free” relationship would mean Bynes is completely back to the best version of herself. Others close to her are more concerned. They feel that a relationship would set her recovery back.

The great thing about Bynes, according to sources close to her, is that she is an “all or nothing person.” That same passion could be dangerous though. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope Bynes continues to do well. Whether that will be done solo or with a partner is yet to be seen.
