Bad news for fans of the Kansas City Chiefs: Quarterback Alex Smith is being traded to the Washington Redskins! Fans of both teams have been reacting to the news and now fans are wondering more about how the trade will impact the Smith family. Many know about the star quarterback, but not much about Alex Smith’s wife. Here’s a closer look at her, with our Elizabeth Barry wiki.

Who Is Elizabeth Barry Smith?

Elizabeth Barry’s age is 33 and she was born on April 2, 1984. She met Smith through football when she was a former Oakland Raiders cheerleader and he played for the San Francisco 49ers. They later got married in March of 2009 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Smith and his wife have three children together: Hayes and Hudson (sons) and daughter, Sloan.

“Happy 2018!! These people make my heart so full,” the caption read. “Can’t wait to see what new adventures await this crazy crew. On a separate note.. One of my New Years resolutions should be to print Christmas cards/pictures. These pics were taken in Nov by the talented @theluxestudios with intentions of making Christmas cards. Yeah, I dropped the ball[sic]”

Fans on the Alex Smith Trade

This isn’t the first time Smith has been traded; he switched his jersey from the 49ers to the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, he’s part of the Washington Redskins family and fans have been reaching out to his wife, since he doesn’t have a social media account.

One comment said, “Gonna miss you 11! Thanks for the good years as a chief!!! Best of luck in Washington I’ll be rooting for you! Enjoy that new 94 million doller contract!!! Much love one one!!! [sic]”

Another comment said, “Just heard the news of the trade. Thank you for all you have done and given us. Sad to see you go but also wish you all the very Best for Alex and Family. It’s been an amazing run.”

While Barry hasn’t responded to the positive messages, they’ve been pouring in. Many have even welcomed Smith back to Washington and thanked him for his time in Kansas City.

“Thank you and Alex for all you have done for Chiefs Kingdom. I understand the NFL is a business but this trade is bitter sweet. Alex has always been a wonderful example of how to play with excellent sportsmanship and passion. Wishing you all the best in Washington!”

Smith is reportedly signing a $94.0 million contract for signing with Washington, which has yet to solidify the “guarantees” of  $71.0 million of that amount.
