Legends of Tomorrow Season

After the success of shows like Arrow and The Flash, a brand new action-packed superhero ensemble is set to launch on The CW this year. The much-anticipated upcoming series Legends of Tomorrow will be debuting tonight (January 21) at 8 p.m. EST. Loosely based on the DC Comics series of the same name, the show will feature many never-before-seen characters with amazing abilities, coupled with recurring characters from Arrow and The Flash. Before tuning into Legends of Tomorrow season 1 episode 1 tonight, you can watch online promos and trailers through The CW to see what all the fuss is about.

As you’ll see from the show’s trailers, the premise of this action-adventure series begins with time travel to the present day. In order to try and change the inevitable, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), a rogue time traveler, has come back from the future where the fate of humanity is bleak. And he’s come back with one mission: to assemble a league of super-humans.

Legends of Tomorrow season 1 episode 1, simply titled Pilot: Part 1, will begin to reveal superheroes like nuclear physicist Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) as a part of heat-wielding “Firestorm,” along with his other half Jeffrey “Jax” Jackson (Franz Drameh) and an inventor-businessman named Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) as “The Atom” with a suit that shrinks him to any size. There is also “Heat Wave,” a heat gun-wielding arsonist named Mike Rory (Dominic Purcell); his partner Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) called “Captain Cold,” who can freeze objects with a stolen cryogenic gun; and young versions of famous DC heroes like “Hawkman”/Cartel Hall (Falk Hentschel) and “Hawkgirl”/Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee). This season is likely to be focused on how these characters meet and get along to form a team with the mission of striking down on powerful enemies throughout time.

The show will also feature guest appearances from Arrow characters like Green Arrow/Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Black Canary (Caity Lotz), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Ra’s al Ghul (Matthew Nable), plus The Flash characters like Barry Allen as the Flash (Grant Gustin) and Cisco Ramon as Vibe (Carlos Valdes). To put up strong unbiased clashes, the show’s first season will also introduce equally capable super-villains, like Vandal Salvage (Casper Crump), a 4,000-year-old immortal who has kept manipulating world leaders through centuries to raise his dominion over the world.

The overall premise of this new series is that when ordinary heroes fall short, mankind will need legends, and most all, they’ll need these Legends of Tomorrow. In addition to the new show, the network will also reportedly be releasing new trailers of DC Comics’ upcoming 2016 movies like Superman vs. Batman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, as well as a first look at the new Wonder Woman movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2017.

That being said, you do not want to miss this premiere! Remember, Legends of Tomorrow season 1 episode 1 airs tonight (January 21) at 8 p.m. EST. If you aren’t able to tune in to watch live, you’ll probably able to watch online via The CW after tonight’s episode airs.
