Haley Stevens Is from Arkansas
Haley Stevens was born on February 20, 1992 to Jackie and Angie Stevens. Haley and her sister, Cassidy, were raised in Searcy, Arkansas.
Her father runs a family-owned business, Stevens Commercial Contractors, in Searcy. Haley is a marketing representative for the company and serves on the board of directors.
In 2014, Haley moved to Dallas, Texas, where her mother is the executive regional impact director of Dallas-based Varsity Brands. Haley was creative projects coordinator for the same company.

Stevens Studied Public Relations
After graduating from Searcy High School in 2010, Stevens attended Auburn University in Alabama. During that time, she also had a stint as a public relations assistant at the local Habitat for Humanity in Searcy.
At Auburn, she was an event chair for her sorority. She would go on to graduate in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
Soon after graduating, she worked a variety of jobs. She was an intern at Nashville-based Kevin Andrews Industries, LLC and a student consultant for Main Street Opelika in Alabama in 2013.

She later worked with Varsity Brands in Texas before returning to Nashville as a sales associate for a local Nordstrom store.
She’s currently associated with her family business, while also working as a manager for Freebird by Steven. And she’s simultaneously pursuing her music career!
Stevens Is a Musician with the Band Sweet Leah
Though Stevens works assorted jobs, music and performing have been her first loves since she was three years old. She sang in her church choir from the time she was a child and her mom is a singer herself.
But her official foray into music began when she attended a small concert with her dad at the age of 15. From there, she learned how to play the guitar and wrote her first song.
She attended a week-long music camp, Power Chord Academy, in Denton, Texas in 2008. With only six months of guitar lessons under her belt, she was designated the lead singer of her band at the camp—and also tasked with writing her first song.
She began pursuing music professionally in 2010, after moving to Alabama. She then recorded her debut album, Lipstick, in Nashville with Grammy-winning record producer Randy Kohrs.
Stevens’ visibility began to grow in Nashville when she formed an acoustic duo with Julia Kate Snow. After six months together, Stevens and Snow formed a band with bassist Cameron Moreland, drummer Nathan Ziehm, and guitarist and vocalist Nick Santa Maria.
Together, they are known as Sweet Leah, a country-rock music group. The band performs in Nashville and released their debut album in 2018.

Stevens Was Allegedly Dating Jed Wyatt before The Bachelorette
Jed Wyatt is one of the hopefuls still in the running for Hannah Brown’s heart on The Bachelorette season 15. A country singer-songwriter from Nashville, he earlier came under the fire when he said his initial reason for competing on the ABC reality show was to further his music career. But since meeting Hannah, he claimed, he’s on the show to win her over. Hannah later defended him for being honest about his motives.
Now he’s under a whole new storm cloud with Stevens’ exclusive interview with People, where she claims that she and Jed had been dating for four months before he came on the show. “We spent the night together the night before he headed to L.A.,” Stevens said. “He told me [the show] was just an obstacle and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it.”
Jed allegedly told Haley he had tried out for The Bachelorette at the beginning of their relationship. “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career.”
According to Stevens, Jed was also prepared with answers in case his other relationship came up during the course of the show.
Stevens Allegedly Met Jed in October 2018
For the sake of clarity, here’s a brief timeline of events:
Stevens said she met Jed in October 2018 in Nashville and they had been dating since then. Jed got the call to appear on the show in February 2019, while they were allegedly still together. Before he came on the show, the couple went on a trip to the Bahamas.
The last time they spoke was when he landed in L.A., where the show began filming in March. As is customary on the show, Jed had to submit his phone for the duration of filming. With no way to contact him, Stevens kept up with the goings on through spoiler accounts.
But as the series progressed, Haley said, “I was terrified that he would fall in love with Hannah.”
“In the beginning, I felt bad [watching the show] because I thought he loved me and was faking dating her. But then I thought, my boyfriend could be engaged to someone else. Seeing him kissing her for the first time was the worst day.”
The show wrapped up filming before it premiered on May 13, 2019. Although Haley’s age is listed as 26 in her interview with People, according to her Instagram, she turned 27 this February.
Recently, she learned that Jed had returned to Nashville but ghosted her. When she confronted him, he didn’t say much and they haven’t spoken since. They follow each other on social media, however, and Wyatt even commented on her Instagram posts.

Rumors were swirling that Wyatt hadn’t ended his relationship before coming on The Bachelorette. So Stevens decided to come out with her story to “control the narrative.”
Stevens claims that she doesn’t think Wyatt is a bad person, nor does she know what happened between him and Hannah. As of the latest episode, he’s a frontrunner to win the season. “Part of me thinks I was the backup plan and he wanted me to be here in case it didn’t work out. I feel 100% betrayed,” she said.
Hannah and Jed haven’t commented on the issue. But Stevens has been flooded with mixed reactions on social media. While some commend her for speaking out against a man they believe has deceived both her and Hannah, others don’t believe her story.
We can only know what becomes of this complicated drama as the season progresses. And dramatic it will be! Reality Steve, the source of all things Bachelor who has been spot-on with its spoilers, claims that Jed is the guy Hannah chooses in the end.
We’ll just have to wait and see on The Bachelorette, airing Mondays at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
