Basketball legend Scottie Pippen turns 50 today and in honor of his birthday, the NBA offered fans quite the treat—a video montage of the player’s 10 greatest dunks. The two-and-a-half minute clip posted on the NBA’s Twitter account clearly demonstrates why Pippen remains, even after retiring, one of the top players in the NBA.

It’s no wonder the clip has been retweeted over 800 times and favorited by at least 750 followers.

Scottie Pippen started his NBA career playing for the Chicago Bulls and is credited for helping the team win six championships in the ‘90s—in fact, he’s one of only four Bulls players to have their jersey retired. He’s also a seven-time All-Star and was named one of the “50 Greatest Players” in the history of the NBA. In addition to playing for 12 seasons with the Chicago Bulls, Pippen also spent one season with the Houston Rockets (1998 to 1999), plus four seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers (1999-2003).

Pippen is also credited for being the only player in NBA history to win both a championship and a gold medal in the Olympics in the same year on two separate occasions (1992 and 1996).

After playing professionally for 21 years (17 years in the NBA and four years with international teams), Pippen officially retired from the game in 2008. He was officially inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame two years later.
