They say that when one door closes, several others open. This seems to be the case for Luke Pell from The Bachelorette and Chase McNary from The Bachelorette season 12. Last night’s episode of The Bachelorette ended in disappointment for not one but two people.

It came as a shock that Luke Pell and Chase McNary were both sent home from season 12 of The Bachelorette last night. Luke Pell was blindsided when he was sent home at the Rose Ceremony minutes after proclaiming that he was in love with her. Chase McNary’s exit from the show was even worse: After agreeing to stay together in the fantasy suite, JoJo Fletcher realized she didn’t feel the same after Chase finally told her he loved her. She kissed him goodbye from the doorstep of their fantasy suite, and Chase was devastated.

According to many sources, both Luke Pell and Chase McNary are being considered for the next The Bachelor. However, it can be only one of them.

Luke said, “It’s a possibility, I definitely would not pass on it!” Upon asking the same question to Chase McNary from The Bachelorette, he said, “The discussions are there,” he said. “But I don’t know—there’s a lot of weight there. There [are] a lot of expectations and I’m not scared of it … but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position.”

One of the reasons why Chase is a bit hesitant about participating in the show is because he opened up about his feelings to JoJo Fletcher. He is known to be a very shy guy, and it took him a lot of courage to finally disclose his feelings. He said, “[As the Bachelor] you’re put in the microscope of America and that’s scary,” he said. “I wasn’t exactly the most open guy about my feelings, and going into being the Bachelor … that’s something I would definitely have to work on.”

Although The Bachelorette’s finale episode would be on August 1, that does not mean you will miss today’s episode of The Bachelorette. Don’t forget to watch tonight’s episode to find out what the boys are up to as they are airing a “Men Tell All” special tonight, in which we will hear from all of the former Season 12 suitors JoJo sent home. Maybe we will get more insight on who could potentially be cast as the next star of The Bachelor. Who do you think will be the next bachelor? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below!
