Dina Ruiz, Clint Eastwood’s younger wife, confirmed last week that she and her famous husband have been separated for quite a while now. Eastwood has yet to make any public comments about the end of their marriage, but his wife proved that there are no hard feelings between them when she took to Twitter to defend him, writing, “I don’t like reading negative things about Clint. He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that.”
Ruiz seems to be in good spirits about the split, and judging by new pictures that have surfaced of Eastwood, so is he. The 83-year-old actor/director was recently spotted with a mystery woman who appeared to be much, much younger than he was. According to sources, the younger woman reportedly spent the night at Eastwood’s place in Los Angeles before jetting out of town.
There has been no word on whether or not Eastwood and Ruiz, 48, will make their split official with a divorce. But if the celebrity couple does end up going down that road, Eastwood can rest assured knowing that his fortune is safe and sound—he’s estimated to be worth a whopping $375 million. The celebrity couple reportedly has an ironclad prenup in place, which will protect Eastwood’s money should their separation lead to a divorce. Without the prenup, Ruiz would have been entitled to half of everything. “Clint was determined not to lose a fortune to Dina, no matter how much he loved her,” said one source. “She’ll be looked after, but it won’t bring Clint to his knees.”
